Privacy & cookies
What this site stores, and what it doesn't
Cookies we set
Two, both essential to making the site work. Neither tracks you.
- Session cookie. Keeps your work together while you use the site - your resume analysis, series selections, and search results. It expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, and everything it pointed to is erased from server memory with it.
- Security (antiforgery) cookie. Protects the forms you submit from being forged by other sites. Standard protection, nothing personal in it.
We also keep one small note in your browser's local storage: which version's "What's new" message you've already seen, so we don't show it twice. It never leaves your browser.
What happens to your resume
Your resume is analyzed in memory and never written to disk. When AI analysis is enabled, the extracted text is sent to OpenAI to build your candidate profile; OpenAI is instructed not to store it. The original file is discarded as soon as the text is read. When your session ends, the derived analysis is erased too.
AI features
Plain-language translation, qualification checks, and glossary lookups send the relevant text (announcement text, your extracted profile, or the term you asked about) to OpenAI to generate the response. We send only what the feature needs.
Traffic analytics
No analytics service, and nothing leaves this server. We count visits ourselves, on our own machine. There is no third-party script on any page, nothing is sent to another company, and your browser is never asked to contact anyone but us.
What we count: how many visits happened, which pages were viewed, and how long a visit lasted (measured as the time between your first and last page request). No new cookie - it uses the same essential session cookie described above. No IP addresses are stored, no device fingerprinting, nothing that could identify you or follow you to another site. The result is a daily count, not a record of you: we can see "41 visits yesterday", never who they were.
These daily counts are kept for 30 days and then deleted, alongside a running monthly total (visits and page views only) that we keep so we can tell whether the site is growing.
Error logs
When something breaks, we log the technical details (what failed, on which page, and when) so we can fix it. These logs never contain your resume, your extracted profile, or your contact details. One exception, so we can improve matching: when a field-of-interest search finds no strong match, we log the search description you entered - nothing else. Logs are kept for 30 days, then deleted.
Contact form
When you send feedback, your name, email, and message are emailed to us so we can respond. They are not stored on this site's servers and are not used for anything else.
What we don't do
- No tracking cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics. Visit counting happens on our own server, stores no IP addresses, and never leaves it (see above).
- No ad networks or social pixels.
- No selling or sharing of anything you provide.
- No accounts, so nothing persists about you between sessions.
If sponsored content ever appears on this site, it will be clearly labeled, and this page will be updated first - before anything changes about the items above.
